The 37th African Union Summit, which ends on February 18, was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu proposed to host the African Central bank in his country's capital, Abuja, Tinubu said at the 37th African Union summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Saturday.
During this summit, African leaders discuss issues like regional integration, sustainable development, and the settlement of armed conflicts.
Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa and also the Headquarters of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS))
As a regional bloc, ECOWAS is home to almost 500 million population, with immense reserve of human and financial resources in the Diaspora.

ECOWAS Ready for Mutually Beneficial Partnership With Russia - Omar Alieu Touray

 ADDIS ABABA (Africa CCI) – The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) says the block is ready to engage in a mutually beneficial partnership with Russia, aiming in order to  enhance the bloc’s unity and development, this was expressed yesterday by ECOWAS Commission President Omar Alieu Touray.

Touray expressed optimism about potential collaboration with Russia, highlighting the opportunity to identify areas of mutual benefit. He emphasized the bloc’s commitment to seeking partnerships that foster development and unity among member states.

The announcement comes amid challenges for ECOWAS, with recent withdrawals by Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali citing dissatisfaction with the bloc’s response to terrorism and imposition of sanctions.
